Document Reviewer

Role overview

This remote contract position is for a Document Reviewer who will contribute to the training of next-generation AI systems. The work focuses on delivering accurate, real-world input that helps improve how models learn, reason, and perform.

Core responsibilities

• Examine large sets of structured and unstructured documents carefully to ensure they are complete and correct.
• Spot and report data issues, inconsistencies, and any risks related to personally identifiable information (PII).
• Classify, label, and when required, remove sensitive details to support privacy and compliance standards.
• Work within defined rules, taxonomies, and process steps for categorizing and validating data.
• Carry out quality assurance checks to confirm data integrity and output accuracy.
• Keep thorough logs of reviewed files and actions taken so all work remains traceable.
• Coordinate with the client team and communicate findings and suggestions clearly in both written and spoken form.

Required background and skills

• Hands-on experience with document review, auditing, annotation, redaction, or large-scale data classification.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive work.
• Understanding of how to handle and protect PII.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting issues and working with teammates.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with established taxonomies.
• Experience in QA or validation tasks on sizable data sets.
• Capacity to stay efficient while working precisely in a remote setup.

Preferred profile

• Experience in legal, compliance, privacy, auditing, or information security environments.
• Exposure to AI or machine learning data projects.
• Comfort using collaboration tools and digital workflow platforms.
