About the Role

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join their team at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This full-time, onsite position is crucial for supporting the Diagnostic Imaging department by performing essential patient care and clerical tasks. Responsibilities

  • Assist technical staff in Diagnostic Imaging by performing patient transport, including lifts, moves, and transfers.

  • Manage supply inventory and handle clean and soiled linen services.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of recent, relevant experience, ideally within a Diagnostic Imaging setting.
  • Hold a certified Health Care Aide certificate from a recognized educational institution.
  • Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and courteously with patients and hospital staff.
  • Exhibit flexibility and independence in work planning, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting, and safe patient transfers.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and/or overtime as needed.
  • Must provide a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
