Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer in Central Singapore to support application delivery, infrastructure automation, and production reliability in a full-time onsite role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes or a similar orchestration platform.
- Investigate and resolve cluster and application issues, including pods failing to start and crash loop problems.
- Manage scaling behavior and fine-tune resource usage for running applications.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines across the full lifecycle from build and test through scanning, release, and deployment.
- Diagnose pipeline breakdowns independently and improve pipeline speed and reliability.
- Support secure delivery practices, including secret handling and access control.
- Apply GitOps methods by using version-controlled declarative configuration as the source of truth for deployments.
- Work with FluxCD for deployment management.
- Write and maintain Terraform code for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Use Ansible to configure services and automate infrastructure tasks.
- Handle incidents by triaging issues, following procedures and SLAs, restoring services, and completing root-cause analysis.
- Escalate problems when necessary and keep stakeholders updated throughout the resolution process.
- Manage service requests by checking requirements, carrying out approved actions, and maintaining documentation and tracking.
- Look for repeatable request patterns that can be automated.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
- A background in software development is an advantage.
- A bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently using logs, metrics, and system behavior.
- Comfort with CI/CD concepts, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools.
- Strong documentation, communication, and incident-handling discipline.
