Data Governance Manager

Role overview

We are looking for a full-time remote Data Governance Manager for the Association Tunisienne des Professionnels de la Vente. In this role, you will shape, roll out, and continuously improve the company’s data governance structure so that information remains dependable, consistent, and easy to access across teams.

What you will do

You will guide the creation and enforcement of data-related policies, standards, and operating procedures. The role requires close coordination with stakeholders from both business and technical functions to keep governance efforts aligned with company priorities.

• Lead and coordinate data governance initiatives across the organization.
• Define data ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
• Track data quality and drive improvements where issues are identified.
• Support master data management processes and activities.
• Assess risks tied to data usage and handling, then rank remediation actions accordingly.
• Advise teams on strong data management practices and governance standards.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation to present governance performance and aid decision-making.

What we are looking for

The right candidate should bring solid experience in data governance and data management, along with practical exposure to data quality and master data management. You should be comfortable digging into complex data problems, finding the underlying causes, and suggesting realistic fixes.

Experience working with varied stakeholders is important, as is awareness of data privacy, security, and compliance expectations related to data use. Strong communication skills are needed so you can explain data topics clearly to non-technical audiences. You should also be able to manage projects, set priorities, and deliver effectively in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• An advanced degree is advantageous.
• Professional certifications in data governance or data management are considered a plus.
