Customer Services AI Trainer

Role overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity for a Customer Services AI Trainer based in the United Kingdom. The role is focused on improving AI-powered customer service systems through training data creation, interaction review, and quality improvement work. Compensation is set at $30 to $60 per hour, with a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.

Key responsibilities

• Create training datasets and realistic case scenarios that help customer service AI perform better.
• Review, assess, and label customer conversations to improve response quality and accuracy.
• Use conflict-handling and de-escalation experience to teach AI how to respond with empathy and calm.
• Carry out ongoing quality checks on AI-generated chats so they sound natural and effective.
• Work with product and engineering teams to spot gaps and support better model outcomes.
• Turn customer insights into clear suggestions for improving AI features.
• Keep up with current customer service standards and AI practices and apply them in training workflows.

Requirements

• Background in professional customer service work.
• Strong written and spoken English, plus close attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving remote setup.
• Proven skill in conflict resolution and calming difficult customer situations.
• Ability to transform customer needs and pain points into structured inputs for AI training.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
