Customer Delivery Driver/Picker

Role overview

This is a full-time on-site position based in Little Canfield, England, with 40 working hours each week. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with any 5 days worked out of 6, and it includes bank holidays as normal working days.

You will represent the business directly to customers, so a friendly and reliable approach is essential. The role involves delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals and helping create a positive experience for customers, regardless of the weather.

In addition to delivery duties, part of the job takes place in a coldstore maintained at -20ºc. Protective clothing suitable for that environment will be provided, along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when needed.

Wiltshire Farm Foods, part of the apetito group, is the UK’s largest ready-meal supplier, producing and delivering more than 330 frozen ready meals across the UK, mainly for elderly customers, their families, and healthcare professionals. Key duties

• Deliver frozen meals to customers within the expected timeframes.
• Pick customer orders inside the coldstore.
• Use the company app to keep delivery information updated.
• Provide excellent service throughout every customer interaction.
• Complete a vehicle check before the shift starts.
• Drive legally, carefully, and responsibly at all times.
• Clean and refuel the van when needed.
• Inform the office team about delays or any order-related discrepancies.
• Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
• Support the office and picking teams whenever assistance is needed.
• Report health and safety concerns, stock-quality issues, and vehicle/mechanical problems.
• Help cover when a team member is absent or on leave.
• Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet drops and visits to sheltered housing to help attract new customers.

Employment terms and checks

The role requires the ability to work in a cold environment and to meet delivery and customer-service expectations. You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

All job offers depend on passing a driving assessment, driving licence verification, and basic DBS checks.

Because the role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a basic DBS disclosure. Certain protected convictions and cautions may not need to be disclosed, in line with the relevant exceptions order and Ministry of Justice guidance.

The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route because it does not meet the minimum requirements set out in the UK Immigration Rules.

Pay is £13.45 per hour, plus bonus and company benefits.
