Claims Specialist

Role Overview

Holistic Partners, Inc. is hiring a remote Claims Specialist for a full-time role focused on claims handling and escalation support. This position centers on working within the FINEOS platform and managing disability-related and insurance claims cases with accuracy, sound judgment, and strong communication.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should bring prior experience using FINEOS and at least 1 year of exposure to disability, FMLA, PFL, or general insurance claims. A solid understanding of medical terminology and common claim documents is important, including APS, diagnostic test results, and imaging reports. The role also requires knowledge of disability insurance claims, benefits administration, offsets and deductions, disability duration, and medical management practices.

Additional Capabilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present information clearly. Candidates should be analytical, confident in decision-making, and effective at solving problems and working with people. Comfort with computer-based work is necessary, including fast and accurate keyboarding and proficiency with MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The role calls for flexibility in a fast-moving environment and a genuine interest in continuous learning and improvement.

Case Management Expectations

Part of the job involves identifying escalated cases and partnering with the Team Leader to create an action plan for addressing key concerns.
