Chief Operating Officer

Role Overview

We are hiring a Chief Operating Officer for a private equity-supported, multi-location services business that is growing its service delivery footprint across the United States. Reporting to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, this leader will oversee service delivery, field operations, and overall operating performance for a distributed workforce. The position is central to building scalable growth, stronger operational discipline, and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct service delivery and field operations across several regions and sites.
• Create and roll out consistent operating procedures, performance measurement systems, and best-practice standards.
• Improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality across the business.
• Help integrate recently acquired companies and operational teams into the organization.
• Work closely with sales and account management to ensure operational capacity supports growth goals.
• Recruit, coach, and develop regional operations leaders and management personnel.
• Define, track, and act on KPIs that support performance improvement and ongoing operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Substantial leadership background in service operations, field operations, or a similar operational leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multi-location or geographically spread operations.
• Clear track record of growing service delivery organizations and improving operational results.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Experience working with executive teams and presenting to senior decision-makers.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
