Role overview
Solus, part of Aviva, is looking for an experienced car valet to support its growing operational needs. This position suits someone who is comfortable working in a fast-moving accident repair setting and who naturally pays close attention to organisation, cleanliness, and detail.
What the role involves
You will be part of a car valet team and report to the workshop controller or office manager. The main purpose of the role is to make sure vehicles are cleaned, checked, and prepared for prompt return to customers.
- Review the daily work list and ensure every vehicle is cleaned and ready for handover.
- Inspect vehicles during the valeting process, with extra attention on repaired sections and any defects.
- Move vehicles as needed, which means a valid driving licence is required.
- Carry out light and fluid checks on each vehicle before it is released for delivery.
- Prepare equipment and materials required for the job.
- Keep courtesy vehicles clean, available, and in a condition suitable for delivery.
- Complete vehicle checks and the associated paperwork accurately.
- Work in line with health and safety requirements at all times.
- Follow established procedures and site guidelines consistently.
What we’re looking for
Applicants should have prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a bodyshop environment. The ideal person will be energetic, positive, committed, and focused on delivering a high standard of repair support service. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being busy throughout the day.
