Role overview
The Camp Services Lead manages the day-to-day running of the camp at the Wheeler River Project site. The position brings together camp personnel, contractors, and outside service partners to make sure accommodation, food services, housekeeping, and camp infrastructure are delivered safely, smoothly, and in line with company expectations and applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage everyday camp activities, covering lodging, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and on-site logistics
- Bring together camp employees, contractors, and service vendors to keep operations safe and efficient
- Assist with site orientation, room allocation, and coordination of visitors
- Keep camp logs, inspection records, inventories, and other operating documents up to date
- Track camp facilities and arrange maintenance work or corrective measures when needed
- Help with procurement, logistics, and general support for camp operations
- Encourage compliance with health, safety, environmental, and site security rules
- Help build a respectful, team-oriented, service-first camp atmosphere
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a remote camp, mining, or industrial setting
- Background in managing camp operations, lodging, catering, housekeeping, or similar site services
- Working understanding of facility upkeep, repairs, and basic camp infrastructure
- Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort using MS Office
- Strong focus on health and safety, along with customer service
- Willingness to work a rotational schedule in Northern Saskatchewan
