Role Overview
This Queensland-based position reports to the Regional Manager. The role centres on managing both existing and prospective business accounts to support individual, state, and company targets. Presidian is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to help expand its dealer network across Queensland and contribute to its purpose of protecting customers' futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Regional Manager and Senior Business Development Manager to implement business-led change initiatives across the dealer network.
- Make sure dealers within your network meet the compliance standards required by the business.
- Support the Claims Team when escalated claims need resolution or relationship management with dealers and repairers.
- Identify operational issues and escalate them to the appropriate operations leaders.
- Shape client strategies and sales forecasts in line with budget settings and company goals to meet business KPIs.
- Help build a sales plan that strengthens Presidian’s position as a preferred supplier in the market.
- Deliver performance reporting to dealer network contacts and key accounts.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are achieved in line with company values.
- Maintain trust in the Presidian brand by promoting the product portfolio, product reviews, and paid claims information where relevant.
- Review and develop effective dealer visitation schedules to provide strong visibility, productivity, and support across the network.
- Create training and growth plans with dealer partners to help meet both state and company objectives.
Required Experience and Capabilities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and analyse budgets.
- Prior experience in an Account Manager or Business Development Manager position.
- Knowledge of strategic sales and portfolio management.
- Exposure to automotive market sales environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with legislative and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
- Tertiary study in business or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate when needed.
- Demonstrated sales performance and strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Comfort with business accounting, reporting, and interpreting results.
- Industry knowledge with the flexibility to work effectively with different client personalities and achieve strong outcomes.
- Good problem-solving ability and sound analytical judgement.
