Its broad national and international presence helps clients roll out standardized solutions across multiple facilities, regardless of where those sites are located or what local resources are available.
Role Overview
The company is hiring a Business Development Manager to help expand business in the EU region. In this position, you will drive growth by spotting new opportunities, developing relationships with prospective customers, and creating strategies that widen the company’s reach with both new and existing accounts.
What You Will Do
- Find and pursue new commercial opportunities, connect with potential clients, and nurture the current customer portfolio.
- Use a consultative selling approach by understanding customer challenges and positioning E Tech Group as a key automation partner.
- Work with internal teams to create value-led technical proposals and move projects through to order closure.
- Track and maintain bookings forecasts and opportunity pipelines, including the right mix of services and materials.
- Build and manage important relationships with technology partners, vendors, and subcontractors to support market requirements.
- Keep senior leadership informed with regular updates on growth initiatives, account plans, strategy, and pipeline health.
- Represent the company in a way that reflects its core values and supports the success of clients, the business, and colleagues.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in business, a technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 10 years of sales experience in engineering solutions, industrial automation, or controls, along with an established network of professional contacts.
- Previous exposure to selling into data centers and the life sciences sector is an advantage.
- A consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the industry and the operational or technical solutions used by customers.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems.
- A collaborative mindset with a strong focus on teamwork.
Additional Information
This role involves travel approximately 40% to 60% of the time.
The position reports to the CRO.
Compensation and Benefits
The package includes a competitive base salary, full expense reimbursement including mileage at the current IRS rate, and an uncapped commission structure. Commission is paid from the first dollar and at the time an order is booked, regardless of when execution takes place.
