Role overview
This on-site Babysitter/Nanny role is based in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley areas of British Columbia. The position involves caring for children in the client’s home in a safe, attentive, and supportive way. The job is full-time and includes both routine childcare and developmental support.
Key duties
- Keep children under supervision and maintain a secure, caring environment.
- Help children follow their everyday routines and schedules.
- Support school-related tasks and homework when needed.
- Organize and lead activities that suit the child’s age and interests.
- Prepare meals and snacks as required.
Qualifications and attributes
- Background in babysitting, childcare, or other child-focused work.
- Ability to work with children in a way that supports safety and emotional comfort.
- Experience in teaching or training that can help with learning and development.
- Clear verbal communication and good organization.
- Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in caring for children.
- First aid and CPR certification would be an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Willingness to adapt to changing family needs and schedules.
Compensation and scheduling
The pay is a competitive contract rate, with the exact amount depending on experience. Scheduling can be flexible, covering standard full-time hours as well as casual evening or weekend event assignments.
