Role overview

CNN-News18 is hiring a motivated VOD Producer for its Digital Video team based in Noida. The role is focused on creating and optimizing digital video content for a fast-moving news audience.

What you will do

• Develop polished VOD content around global developments, national updates, and trending stories.
• Turn complex geopolitical, financial, and cultural subjects into clear, engaging explainers.
• Research topics thoroughly, write scripts, and tailor content for online viewers.
• Improve reach and watch time through SEO, keyword planning, and content optimization methods.
• Handle video publishing, optimization, and live-stream workflows on YouTube, Facebook, X, and similar platforms.
• Plan and deliver content ideas for major news shows and peak-time programming.
• Track news developments and spot opportunities for strong video-led storytelling.
• Create short-form news pieces and other digital-first video formats.
• Work closely with editorial, graphics, and production teams to deliver visually strong news content.
• Prepare broadcast scripts, write links, and assist with bulletin production whenever needed.

What we are looking for

• 2 to 5 years of experience in digital video production, VOD creation, or news-based content production.
• Solid knowledge of world news, current affairs, and changing digital media trends.
• Practical experience in scripting, video performance optimization, and audience growth techniques.
• Working knowledge of YouTube SEO, analytics, and social publishing tools.
• Strong editorial judgment, research ability, and storytelling skills.
• Comfort working in a high-pressure newsroom and managing several tasks at the same time.
