About the Role
The UX Design Intern will partner with the product design team to contribute to the full design lifecycle for important product initiatives. The internship provides practical exposure to user research, interaction design, and collaboration across functions in a fast-moving product setting.
This is an unpaid internship created for learning and professional growth. Academic credit may be arranged when applicable. Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply. The role is based in the office at Bellevue, Washington.
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape product features from discovery through delivery by preparing wireframes, user flows, and polished prototypes.
- Support user research efforts such as interviews, usability studies, and the analysis of research findings.
- Assist in developing and improving Armada AI’s design system.
- Work with product managers and engineers to make sure the final implementation reflects the intended design.
- Take part in design critiques, reviews, and cross-functional planning meetings.
- Record design choices and explain the thinking behind them to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a similar field.
- A portfolio that shows UX thinking and problem-solving across one or more projects.
- Comfort using Figma or similar tools for design and prototyping.
- Exposure to user research methods and usability best practices.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to different teams.
- Ability to juggle several tasks at once and adjust quickly when priorities change.
