Overview
Cater Care is hiring full-time Utility Allrounders for a permanent role based in Adelaide, South Australia. This position is fly-in, fly-out from Adelaide and will begin on a 14/14 roster before moving to a 14/7 roster after four months. The role is suited to people looking for a fresh challenge in a facilities services environment, with responsibilities spanning housekeeping, kitchen utility, dining areas, and general site cleaning.
Rather than a standard hospitality job, this position offers the chance to work across multiple site functions, support day-to-day operations, and contribute to clean, safe, and well-organised spaces. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive service mindset are central to success in this role.
Key duties
- Prepare dining areas, keep them running smoothly, and clear them after use.
- Run dishwashing equipment and maintain the cleanliness of kitchens, utensils, and dining spaces.
- Follow all required food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Deliver prompt and friendly service during busy periods.
- Assist colleagues across different departments whenever support is needed.
- Maintain dining room standards by cleaning areas, restocking supplies, and making sure crib food is adequately available.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks such as cleaning guest rooms and ensuites and making beds where required.
- Complete general cleaning duties, including waste removal, sweeping, mopping, and other shared-area cleaning tasks.
- Clean mine-site areas such as offices, crib huts, and bathhouses.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 months of experience in a similar utility-related role such as Utility All Rounder, Cleaner, Housekeeper, or Kitchen Hand. A genuine commitment to friendly customer service is important, along with an energetic, positive, and reliable attitude.
You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and take pride in your personal presentation and hygiene. A driver’s licence is required, and applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents. A forklift licence is preferred.
