Programme overview
The Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP) is a 15-month fast-track development experience for high-potential candidates who are ready to work on real business problems and make a visible impact early in their careers. It is not a standard management trainee track; instead, it uses planned stints across important areas of the chosen function to build broad exposure and a strong understanding of the business from end to end. Participants are assessed at multiple points during the programme so they can reflect, improve, and keep progressing with clear direction. The programme is intended to build future leaders for Unilever Bangladesh and the wider FMCG industry.
Role focus
In the Supply Chain track, you will own live, high-impact projects that support Unilever’s strategic goals. Over the 15-month period, you will rotate through different stints under the guidance of senior leaders, learning directly from experienced professionals and taking part in important business decisions.
What you will do
- Lead projects from start to finish and ensure they deliver measurable business value.
- Use structured problem-solving, data analysis, and commercial thinking to address complex operational challenges.
- Work closely across the supply chain network, including manufacturing sites, logistics hubs, and depots.
- Collaborate with supply chain and wider business teams to improve customer experience and operational performance.
- Show strong ownership, discipline, and accountability while managing deadlines, milestones, and quality standards.
- Share project findings, recommendations, and outcomes with senior leadership to help shape business decisions.
Learning and development
The programme is built around hands-on exposure to critical projects and continuous development. You will gain experience with Unilever’s tools, technologies, and working methods while developing a practical understanding of the full supply chain flow, from manufacturing through to customer delivery. Ongoing interaction with managers and industry professionals will provide feedback that supports your professional and personal growth.
Mentorship and support
Each participant receives structured support through a dedicated mentor and buddy, both of whom provide coaching, feedback, and guidance throughout the journey. Development is reinforced through repeated feedback touchpoints so progress remains consistent and aligned with individual goals.
Final placement and future prospects
At the end of the programme, participants will present a full summary of their work and contributions to the Unilever Bangladesh Management Committee. Final placement into a full-time role, as well as advancement to the next level, will depend on performance and potential. Strong performers may also unlock opportunities across Unilever Bangladesh and the broader global Unilever organisation.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to final-year undergraduate students from recognised universities who will complete all academic coursework, except internship requirements, by September 2026. Applicants must come from an engineering background.
Candidates must be available for full-time, on-site work and should be prepared to go the extra mile to deliver strong results. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required. The company is also looking for candidates with experience beyond academics, such as business competitions, debating, entrepreneurial activities, part-time work, or leadership roles.
What the company is looking for
Ideal candidates are curious, motivated, and eager to learn. They should be able to analyse problems logically and solve them in a clear, structured way. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important, along with the capacity to collaborate across teams. A proactive attitude, high accountability, ownership, and comfort in a fast-moving, changing environment are also essential.
Selection process
Applicants may apply for only one functional track; submitting more than one application will lead to automatic disqualification at the first stage. After submitting the application, candidates must complete a psychometric assessment that combines aptitude testing and is required for further consideration. This assessment must be completed within the registration deadline. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the next stages of evaluation.
Equal opportunity and inclusion
The organisation follows a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment approach designed to identify strong talent in an objective way. It is also committed to diversity and inclusion, and encourages applicants who need support or access arrangements to mention this during the application process so appropriate assistance can be provided.
