Overview
FLASHBEE LOGISTICS is hiring a full-time truck driver in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. This role is based at the work site only; the job must be carried out in person and cannot be done remotely.
Language
English is required.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
Experience
No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
Key Duties
- Use mountain-driving skills where needed.
- Plan trips, related schedules, and bookings.
- Operate as part of a two-driver team or a convoy.
- Drive lighter specialty trucks when required.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Secure special permits and any documents needed for international cargo movement.
- Drive straight or articulated trucks to move goods and materials.
- Check vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration units, and other equipment.
- Handle payments for goods received or delivered.
- Carry out brake adjustments.
- Complete roadside emergency repairs when necessary.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections while monitoring all vehicle-related duties.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
- Track cargo details, driving hours, distance covered, and fuel use.
- Tarp loads and maintain cargo safety and security.
- Transport and manage dangerous goods.
Credentials
An AZ class licence is required, along with Air Brakes Endorsement and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
Truck Type / Equipment
This position involves operating a tractor-trailer.
