Job Summary
The Traffic Control Attendant will manage the movement of trucks across the plant to keep operations flowing smoothly and prevent bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize trucks daily as they enter and leave the plant for loading, helping to prevent congestion.
- Guide trucks to the correct loading points in the packing plant based on the designated loading bay.
- Direct loaded trucks from the tarmac to the weighbridge for scaling out after the tarpaulin has been secured.
- Keep watch over trucks waiting to load or already loaded so they do not obstruct roads or disrupt other vehicle movement.
- Manage breakdown trucks around the weighbridge, packing plant, and other areas within the facility.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound trucks outside the plant gate are properly positioned and parked to support unrestricted traffic flow.
- Provide hourly status updates on trucks in the packing plant.
- Apply approved plant health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Follow company policies and operating procedures strictly.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
