Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of technology and commercial growth. As a technical sales specialist, you will help customers understand how geospatial solutions can solve real operational challenges while supporting the sales team in winning complex opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct compelling technical presentations and tailor demonstrations of hardware and software solutions to customer needs.
- Support the sales organization as a subject-matter expert to progress and close technically complex deals.
- Provide customer onboarding, training, and after-sales technical assistance to strengthen adoption and satisfaction.
- Represent the company and its innovations at industry conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows.
- Work with sales leadership on growth plans, target achievement, and expansion into new market segments.
Requirements
- An engineering qualification in Electronics, Telecommunications, Surveying, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in the geospatial sector.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
- A valid driving licence.
- Willingness and ability to travel for up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in Arabic or French.
- Hands-on knowledge of Laser Scanners, Mobile Mapping Systems, or Monitoring and Mining solutions.
- Experience working across the Middle East and Africa region, including engagement with both public- and private-sector networks.
- Prior exposure to Trimble hardware and software products.
Location and Work Arrangement
The role can be based in Nairobi, Kenya, and is listed as hybrid. Travel expectations are 70%.
