Support Turbine Operation

Role Overview

This position supports turbine and boiler-side operations in a captive thermal power plant that supplies power for aluminum production at Hindalco Industries Limited. The job centers on keeping auxiliaries running safely, preventing equipment failures, and ensuring quick recovery of the unit during disruptions.

Primary Purpose

• Take control of the site during routine operation as well as emergency situations.
• Carry out isolation and subsequent normalization of the site during boiler overhauls or maintenance of related auxiliaries and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and help restore the unit at the earliest possible time.
• Manage shift relieving responsibilities.

Job Context

The role is based in a captive thermal power plant that supports aluminum manufacturing. It requires close monitoring of boiler auxiliaries to avoid breakdowns and ensure safe, uninterrupted operation. The position also calls for active coordination with the maintenance team, including raising trouble tickets in EKAYAAN when abnormalities are observed, and ensuring equipment is safely isolated before maintenance and properly normalized afterward.

Key Challenges

• Minimize all forms of operating losses while supporting efficient use of natural resources such as raw material, electricity, air, fuel, oil, and water.
• Ensure smooth handover between shifts and prepare shift reports, eReporting updates, production MIS, and logbook entries at the end of each shift.
