Role overview

quip is looking for a meticulous and well-organized Supply & Demand Planning Analyst to support the Operations function. The position sits at the intersection of supply planning and demand planning, with responsibility for purchase orders, inventory planning, forecasting support, SKU administration, supplier coordination, reporting, and ongoing process improvements.

The role is best suited to someone who is comfortable moving between detailed execution and analytical problem-solving. Most of the work is hands-on operational support, while a smaller portion is dedicated to identifying trends, improving planning outcomes, and refining processes. The position reports to the Supply Planning and Inventory Manager.

This is a remote role, with travel to the New York City office twice per year.

Compensation

Base pay for this role is expected to fall between $55,000 and $75,000 annually. This range is in addition to benefits and equity, where applicable, and final compensation may vary based on location, role-specific expertise, experience, and skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders from start to finish, including creation, updates, supplier follow-up, and closure, across approximately 10 suppliers.
  • Track supplier performance, delivery timing, and lead times to help maintain inventory goals.
  • Support demand and supply forecasting by incorporating data from sales, marketing, product launches, and historical performance.
  • Bring in inputs from cross-functional plans such as promotions, seasonality, and broader business initiatives.
  • Create new SKUs, maintain pricing records, and keep master data accurate across systems.
  • Assist with inventory planning by monitoring stock positions, safety stock targets, and overall inventory health.
  • Serve as a point of contact for suppliers through email and Flexport messaging, clarifying needs and communicating changes that affect purchase orders.
  • Maintain recurring reports and dashboards in NetSuite and connected tools.
  • Follow documented SOPs while contributing ideas that improve workflows and planning efficiency.
  • Support product launches, logistics changes, and broader planning process enhancements.

  • Background supporting demand forecasting, inventory planning, or S&OP processes.
  • Comfort using spreadsheet keyboard shortcuts to work efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational habits.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors, resolve PO issues, and balance supply limits against forecasted demand.
  • Ability to use AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to improve analysis, spot patterns, streamline reporting, and strengthen planning work.
