Role Summary
This is a full-time Store Manager position in the apparel retail function, based in Chandrapur / Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The role centers on running store operations day to day, maintaining high service standards, and supporting business results in line with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Store Manager will be expected to lead store operations, monitor departmental performance, and ensure compliance with operational standards. The role includes managing inventory, shrinkage, customer experience, staffing, training, and store-level execution.
- Drive revenue, gross margin, and sales productivity outcomes.
- Keep inventory levels under control and minimize shrinkage.
- Follow Mockshop requirements and maintain full SOP compliance.
- Support statutory and policy compliance across the department.
- Work toward Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
- Improve sales per square foot and average transaction value.
- Oversee manpower allocation and reduce attrition.
- Build product knowledge, brand differentiation, and selling capability within the team.
- Arrange functional and behavioral training for store staff.
- Keep associates updated on new products, brands, presentation standards, and selling methods.
- Ensure availability targets, conversion rates, and mystery shopping improvements are met.
- Collect customer feedback and consumer data for improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as customer sales associates, housekeeping, support functions, and security/loss prevention.
- Interact with external vendors and brand supervisors as needed.
Experience and Knowledge
The position calls for a graduate-level qualification and at least 6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working under pressure, possess strong numerical ability, and be proficient in Excel. Customer orientation, communication skills, analytical ability, and presentation skills are also important for success in this role.
