Role Overview
This position is for a Demand Planner focused on Talabat Mart, the company’s grocery cloud-store offering. Talabat Mart was designed to deliver groceries in 30 minutes at hypermarket pricing and is already live in Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, and Oman, with expansion underway in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep store inventory at the right level by preventing stockouts and overstock situations through review of current inventory and updates to ordering settings.
- Monitor stock movement on a daily basis and produce regular reports covering inventory changes and adjustments.
- Maintain replenishment model inputs accurately, including lead times, reorder points, economic order quantities, and supplier minimum order quantities.
- Create demand forecasts, trigger store ordering, and follow through on order receipt tracking.
- Coordinate inventory management activities with Category Managers.
- Deliver timely, accurate reporting and analysis of inventory and purchasing forecasts.
- Send orders to suppliers and monitor them through the fulfillment process.
- Work with suppliers to strengthen collaborative forecasting, planning, and replenishment efforts.
- Ensure inventory and in-stock records remain accurate and up to date.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in demand planning.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured approach and clear prioritization skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior executives and manage expectations across multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a mindset that welcomes learning and problem-solving every day.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities, with a willingness to stay hands-on across multiple tools.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with the ability to motivate teams and stakeholders around a shared goal.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly beneficial.
Additional Information
This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external suppliers to keep inventory planning accurate and responsive. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and contributing to the growth of a rapidly expanding grocery delivery business.
