Role overview

The Service Coordinator will support a broad customer base, the Endress+Hauser Arabia office, and local partners by organizing every stage of instrumentation service delivery — from the initial work request through to final invoicing. The position is responsible for strengthening service planning, scheduling, and resource coordination so work is completed on time and within budget.

Working from proposal preparation to job closure, this role manages contractual KPIs and coordinates internal and external interfaces and activities. These may include transaction processing, process coordination, operational administration, site-related operations, and contractor oversight. The position influences departmental operations and carries responsibility for planning and execution within established functional practices and procedures.

Main responsibilities

  • Apply operational planning and scheduling knowledge to guide service execution.
  • Arrange field staff, spare parts, tools, and equipment so service assignments are completed effectively at workshop or site locations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers receiving the service.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure smooth execution of the service scope and to align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Create schedules using approved tools, workflows, and standards.
  • Confirm that the right resources are allocated and available for each job order as planned, while keeping engineer safety passports, medical records, and training requirements current.
  • Update schedules so they accurately show progress and remaining work, and maintain SAP/SMP records and related databases.
  • Review schedule progress and performance, and identify deviations, risks, and emerging trends that may need attention.
  • Coordinate across different departments to keep operations aligned.
  • Share schedule updates and progress reviews on a regular basis.
  • Escalate unresolved issues or risks when needed.
  • Keep cost and schedule aligned, and support timely customer invoicing after job completion.
  • Assess how change orders affect scheduling performance.
  • Prepare customer reports required under the contract.
  • Deliver accurate and timely performance updates to senior management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or another related discipline.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in service coordination, planning, or operations in industrial or technical services settings is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of planning and scheduling systems such as SAP or comparable tools.
  • Solid understanding of field service operations and resource planning.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
