Role overview
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a major role in Neo4j’s growth across the APAC region by designing technical solutions for complex enterprise challenges. You will act as the main technical expert during the pre-sales journey, going beyond standard product demos to shape practical, value-focused graph database architectures. You will work closely with customers and strategic partners, including hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, to build connected data ecosystems that demonstrate the business value of Neo4j.
This position combines consultative technical depth, sales support, and ecosystem collaboration to help accelerate adoption and secure technical wins. Neo4j’s solutions are used to address use cases such as artificial intelligence, fraud detection, and recommendation engines, enabling organizations to modernize their data landscape and solve high-priority business problems.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, product presentations, and competitive positioning for complex enterprise opportunities from evaluation through conversion.
- Create and present proof-of-value prototypes, custom solution designs, and technical workshops that clearly show Neo4j’s business and technical impact.
- Work with hyperscalers, systems integrators, and ISVs to design joint solutions, support co-selling motions, and deliver technical enablement.
- Coordinate across internal sales teams, help qualify deals, and ensure a smooth transition to Professional Services and implementation partners.
- Represent Neo4j through thought leadership activities, webinars, conference speaking, and support for local developer community and marketing events.
- Travel to customer and partner locations when needed to conduct workshops and progress strategic engagements.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, professional services, or a customer-facing technical architecture function.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Experience presenting to and influencing technical decision-makers as well as executive leaders, including C-level stakeholders, in complex sales cycles.
- Ability to run technical discovery and value-based selling conversations that connect enterprise goals to technical architecture.
- Fluency in both English and Korean, since the role involves customer-facing communication with local stakeholders in both languages.
Preferred qualifications
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge of graph databases, especially Neo4j, plus familiarity with relational databases, NoSQL systems, and visualization tools such as D3.js and Linkurious.
- Proven experience building joint go-to-market solutions and co-selling with hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as strategic ISVs and global systems integrators.
- Background in regulated industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Government, Security, or Telecommunications.
Additional information
This is an on-site full-time role based in Singapore. The position is customer-facing and requires travel to customer sites and partner events as needed.
