Senior Project Manager, Power Generation

Role overview

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is looking for an accomplished Senior Manager, Project Delivery to take ownership of execution governance for the APAC Power Generation project systems business. This position uses the internal designation Senior Manager, Project Systems Business (PSB) Execution, Asia Pacific.

Location and work eligibility

The role is based in Tukang, Singapore (West), in the Jurong East / West Region area. Only applicants who already have the legal right to work in Singapore will be considered. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be moved forward.

What you will handle

• Oversee delivery governance in line with the company’s established project management and execution standards.
• Make sure project managers are properly assigned to the relevant PSB projects.
• Act as the primary escalation contact for execution-related matters.
• Run weekly meetings with the execution team to review progress and provide direction where needed.
• Work closely with functional leaders to keep delivery running smoothly and address internal issues.
• Keep project nonconformance costs within the agreed limit.
• Guide the team in converting change order opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Serve as the functional lead for country managers in the regional execution SSC.
• Support strong collaboration between the APAC hub and the regional execution SSC to drive PSB execution excellence.
• Coordinate with peers across other hubs to exchange best practices and stay informed on current customer developments.
• Prepare monthly execution status updates for senior management with input from internal stakeholders.
• Partner with the APAC PMO team on initiatives to improve the overall project portfolio.
• Facilitate lessons learned activities for the APAC region.

Additional responsibilities

• Travel internationally for business when required.
• Keep up to date with project management best practices.
• Take on special assignments from time to time.

Requirements

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management and execution for engineered solutions, including a minimum of 5 years in the related sector with revenue accountability and leadership exposure.
• Experience in the diesel generator industry will be considered an advantage.
• A proven history of managing a project portfolio and delivering results on schedule, within budget, and to specification.
• Project management certification such as PMP, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with multilingual Asian language capability being a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• The ability to motivate others and drive exceptional outcomes.
• Comfort in handling demanding, high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to travel.
