Role overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of new client onboarding, strategic business programs, and acquisition integration efforts. Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and readiness checkpoints in coordination with Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Client Services.
  • Orchestrate all related workstreams, such as system setup, data transfer, training, and operational preparedness, while facilitating coordination rather than directly owning execution.
  • Serve as the main contact for client-facing project communication, keeping milestones, risks, and decisions clear and transparent.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews to capture insights and support ongoing improvements.
  • Drive strategic, cross-functional initiatives across servicing operations, product, compliance, and technology from scoping through completion.
  • Work with business leaders to define goals, success measures, scope limits, and readiness requirements.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and align solutions across business, operations, product, and IT stakeholders, ensuring decisions are documented and clearly understood.
  • Own project status reporting, RAID tracking, and escalation routes.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies early, then escalate blockers with practical recommended next steps.
  • Support acquisition and integration programs by coordinating project planning with Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Maintain clear ownership across integration workstreams and keep progress visible while surfacing risks promptly.
  • Support integration readiness reviews, cutover planning, and post-acquisition stabilization.
  • Manage communication among internal stakeholders and external counterparts when required throughout the integration process.
  • Contribute to PMO standards, frameworks, templates, and tools that improve consistency and delivery quality.
  • Coach other Project Managers on planning, communication, issue management, and delivery practices.
  • Improve delivery methods over time based on retrospectives, team feedback, and current industry practices.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of combined project and/or program management experience leading cross-functional work in complex settings.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial services servicing, such as consumer loan servicing, payments and collections, customer care, or similar operations.
  • Hands-on experience leading new client implementations or similarly complex onboarding efforts.
  • Proven ability to coordinate technical, operational, compliance, and business teams without direct authority over those functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including alignment with senior leaders, business owners, and external clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to prepare executive-level status updates, decision summaries, and project documentation.
  • Comfort using project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira/Confluence, Microsoft Project, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities across several projects or workstreams at the same time.
  • Must be based locally in Scottsdale or able to commute to the Scottsdale office.
  • Preferred: experience with integration or portfolio migration projects in financial services or servicing.
  • Preferred: prior exposure to PMO frameworks, standards, and templates.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring or overseeing junior and mid-level Project Managers.
