Company Overview

NCS is a major AI technology services provider with a workforce of 15,000 across Asia Pacific. The company helps clients gain agility and AI expertise across multiple industries by combining AI, digital resilience, and global partnerships to improve technology delivery. NCS is part of the Singtel Group.

Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex client engagements in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technology areas. The role requires end-to-end ownership of projects so they are completed on schedule, within budget, and within scope, while embedding security best practices and AI-based methods throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This position is responsible for large-scale technology initiatives, including setting timelines, assigning work across cross-functional teams, tracking progress, and ensuring strong delivery outcomes. It also involves managing client satisfaction, resource planning, project governance, risk handling, financial performance, and collaboration across teams.

Project Delivery and Execution

You will direct the full lifecycle of complex IT infrastructure, security, and transformation projects, from kickoff through closure, while managing scope, schedule, quality, budget, and risk.

  • Create detailed plans, milestones, governance structures, risk logs, and change management approaches together with stakeholders, business users, architects, and technical teams.
  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery work such as deployment, migration, testing, integration, and implementation.
  • Keep scope under control and apply strong change control practices to manage dependencies and critical-path activities.
  • Manage project finances, including P&L, forecasting, budget adherence, and allocation of internal staff, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Handle procurement and integration activities for hardware, software, and testing across business, technical, and management groups.
  • Escalate risks and delivery issues such as overruns, scope growth, integration blockers, and staffing shortages to project directors and steering committees.
  • Ensure project records and deliverables align with customer expectations, quality systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define resource needs across hardware, software, people, and logistics, then monitor work progress and assess implementation results.
  • Lead planning, work delegation, performance monitoring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Review contracted services against KPIs and compliance obligations with the goal of avoiding negative client experiences.
  • Support business growth through identifying opportunities, preparing change requests, and contributing to pre-sales efforts.

IT Security Responsibilities

  • Oversee the rollout and integration of security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure delivery follows client cybersecurity policies, industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls, and governance standards throughout the project.
  • Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, patching, and remediation tracking with security project contributors.
  • Help manage security incident response, stakeholder updates, and recovery planning during implementation.
  • Guide teams on secure infrastructure design, hardening, and configuration management considerations.
  • Work with SecOps teams to make sure deployed solutions remain secure, supportable, and aligned to operational processes.
  • Encourage security awareness, secure-by-design practices, and best-practice adoption across the project team and client environment.
  • Build security checkpoints and validation gates into the project delivery approach.

AI and Emerging Technology

  • Use AI-enabled project tools to improve planning, forecasting, risk prediction, and decision-making.
  • Keep up to date with AI developments, tools, and use cases relevant to project management and cybersecurity.
  • Promote AI understanding and adoption among project teams and client stakeholders.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the main contact for all project matters, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prepare and deliver polished materials for steering committees, executive briefings, and governance meetings.
  • Develop strong working relationships with users, technical teams, and management to resolve issues and drive improvement.
  • Negotiate resource requirements and contracts with vendors, cross-functional teams, and subcontractors.
  • Handle change request discussions with customers while balancing effort, timelines, and priorities.
  • Communicate issues, risks, opportunities, and clarifications clearly and proactively.
  • Maintain effective communication plans that meet contractual and departmental expectations.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through strong relationship management and service quality.

Transition and Continuous Improvement

  • Manage transition activities thoroughly and ensure a proper handover from project closure into maintenance and managed services from day one.
  • Identify opportunities for change requests, service enhancement, service expansion, and delivery improvements.
  • Work with account managers and sales teams to create new business opportunities and support revenue growth.
  • Assist sales efforts by contributing proposal inputs such as statements of work, assumptions, staffing estimates, project management strategy, risk mitigation, presentations, clarifications, and technical guidance.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Coordinate with team members, leads, and cross-functional contributors to keep delivery timelines on track.
  • Plan, monitor, and track activities for technical leads and team members using suitable project management tools and methods.
  • Delegate tasks clearly with defined goals, expectations, and accountability.
  • Lead evaluations of project proposals and enhancement ideas.
  • Keep teams aligned on business needs, priorities, existing systems, and organizational changes.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development support to strengthen team performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification, or an equivalent credential, is required. Additional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, or infrastructure-related certifications like ITIL or cloud certifications, are considered an advantage.

A minimum of 8 years of IT project management experience is needed, with strong exposure to infrastructure and/or cybersecurity programs. Candidates should have a strong record of delivering large, complex technology projects involving deployment, migration, integration, and transformation across diverse organizations.

Experience should include IT implementation work across multiple industries, managing IT contracts, handling complex delivery in both legacy and cloud managed service environments, and leading projects through discovery, estimation, implementation, troubleshooting, and recovery of difficult engagements. You should also be comfortable managing cross-functional teams, vendors, subcontractors, and third-party providers in multi-stakeholder settings.

Strong capability is expected in planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, change control, governance, and quality assurance. Practical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure areas such as networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, and data centers is important, along with a solid understanding of security tools and practices including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, vulnerability management, incident response, penetration testing, operating system hardening, and security frameworks.

Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and collaboration tools is required, along with strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced use of MS Office applications for reporting, analysis, and presentations. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal, leadership, coordination, coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

The role also calls for a self-driven, well-organized professional who can work under pressure and tight deadlines, create high-quality presentations from complex information and financial data, and travel as needed to client sites, project locations, and meetings. Experience as a technical lead or solution architect in migration, security deployment, or infrastructure transformation, along with exposure to regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, government, homeland security, or defence, will be valuable. Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps is an added advantage.
