Role Overview
Qatar Airways Cargo is navigating a major shift in the air freight landscape, with growing emphasis on digital end-to-end operations, e-commerce capability, digital freight marketplaces, and broader transformation. As the world’s largest global air cargo carrier, the business is seeking forward-thinking professionals who can help strengthen its leadership in the industry.
This opportunity sits within the Cargo & Airport Operations function in Doha, where the successful candidate will contribute to process excellence initiatives that improve efficiency, support scale, and reinforce governance across operations.
Key Purpose of the Role
The position is focused on continuous improvement and business process redesign across QR Cargo operations. The role supports the streamlining of workflows, enhancement of internal controls, and assurance of compliance. It also involves partnering with teams across the business to standardize and automate processes so operations become more efficient, cost-conscious, and scalable.
Data-led insight and strong governance are central to the role, helping align day-to-day operational performance with broader strategic objectives.
Primary Duties
- Spot opportunities for improvement by examining operational performance information and trends.
- Track and communicate cost-reduction initiatives, making sure the outcomes are measurable and aligned with financial targets.
- Introduce fresh ideas by applying market developments and new technologies to improve how operations perform.
- Create and monitor operational and financial KPIs to provide transparency and accountability across regions.
- Manage cross-functional projects and review sessions to uncover gaps, recommend solutions, and support successful adoption of updated processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should bring a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in process improvement work, stakeholder coordination, and time management. The role also calls for strong analytical ability, comfort with visual reporting tools, and the capability to build solid business cases and executive-level presentations.
Success in this role requires confidence in relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing others, along with clear spoken and written English. The person must be able to work independently, juggle multiple urgent deliverables, and stay effective in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
