Using a fully integrated fund management and development platform, the company aims to generate value and growth across Australia and New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Greater China, Southeast Asia, India, and Europe.

Role Overview

The company is looking for a Senior Manager, Compliance to work from Singapore on a permanent full-time basis. This role will take a lead position in strengthening the group’s compliance structure and ensuring adherence to local requirements across multiple jurisdictions. The position reports to the Head of Compliance.

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance obligations for Singapore CMS-licensed entities in accordance with MAS requirements.
  • Track regulatory changes, evaluate their impact on operations, and keep policies, procedures, and risk assessments current.
  • Handle MAS-related reviews, inspections, filings, and notifications, and work with external auditors or consultants on regulatory audits.
  • Provide guidance to senior leadership, stakeholders, and the Board on compliance issues, including status updates, risk analysis, and mitigation recommendations.
  • Review and sign off on marketing and fund distribution materials for APAC and other international markets to ensure they meet regulatory and disclosure standards.

Group Compliance Duties

  • Support the Group Compliance function in coordinating compliance activity across business units and subsidiaries, including the development of group-wide compliance strategies and frameworks aligned with jurisdictional rules.
  • Help build and maintain a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
  • Create and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with current regulations and the organisation’s risk appetite.
  • Plan and carry out control testing, compliance monitoring, and surveillance activities.
  • Contribute to due diligence work and compliance integration exercises.
  • Assist in managing compliance risks by identifying regulatory exposures and supporting remediation and control improvements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in law, compliance, finance, or a business-related discipline.
  • More than 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, or corporate secretarial roles, including at least 5 years handling Singapore compliance for CMS-licensed entities under MAS oversight.
  • Strong written and spoken English; knowledge of other Asian languages is helpful for dealing with local authorities.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Careful, self-driven, independent, and able to manage priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who can contribute to governance and compliance projects as needed.

Benefits and Growth

ESR emphasises career development from day one, offering a supportive environment with learning opportunities and tailored guidance designed to help employees grow into long-term success, whether they are early in their careers or moving into leadership.

Values and Purpose

The organisation’s culture is built around performance, accountability, and integrity. Employees are expected to follow three core principles:

  • Do the Right Thing: act with integrity, transparency, and a strong sense of accountability in every business and financial decision.
  • Win as One Team: work collaboratively across functions to achieve shared goals through mutual support and teamwork.
  • Think Beyond the Present: focus on long-term excellence and sustainable growth rather than short-term outcomes alone.

Additional Information

This is a permanent role based in Singapore. The position is intended for a candidate who can take ownership of compliance leadership responsibilities across both local and regional requirements.
