Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, with a full-time onsite working setup. The role is centered on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial reporting, audits, and support for leadership through accurate analysis and timely reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Support the creation of the annual company budget and associated reporting.
  • Coordinate with department leaders to prepare monthly departmental budgets.
  • Track utilization of the capital expenditure budget and maintain related reports.
  • Compare monthly actual spending with approved budgets and highlight variances.
  • Help prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.

Costing and Accounting Activities

  • Carry out monthly cost allocation exercises.
  • Estimate percentage of completion and work in progress, and reconcile monthly billing with the Project Services team.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including transactions and depreciation.
  • Prepare monthly accrual estimates for subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare capital and operating expenditure CARs and keep the supporting logs updated.
  • Review account reconciliations and balance sheet items.

Reporting

  • Prepare the monthly PFSR (Project Financial Statement Report) and related reconciliation statements.
  • Produce weekly and monthly timesheet analysis, leave summaries, and management PTS reports.
  • Compile weekly and monthly IKTVA reports.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly audit committee packs, board packs, and related reporting materials.
  • Prepare reports on chargeable man-hours (non-projects), proposal analysis, and PSE.
  • Assist with monthly variance analysis of financial performance.
  • Prepare occupancy reports.
  • Develop ad hoc reports for management and other business requests.

Audits and Additional Duties

  • Assist with internal audit requirements.
  • Support financial and tax audit activities.
  • Participate in annual IKTVA audits.
  • Organize and file supporting documents related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Serve as backup support during team absences or peak workload periods.
  • Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Promote the company vision in relation to HSE standards, behaviors, and performance.
  • Handle any other duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities assigned by management.

Authority and Leadership

  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues.
  • Oversee the work of subordinates within a small team or work unit.

Requirements

  • A BS degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or CMA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including how the work affects other disciplines and functions.
  • Good understanding of company regulations, GAZT requirements, and IFRS and GAAP standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems used for financial, budgeting, and planning functions.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly in simple, non-technical language and think both strategically and tactically.
  • Comfort working hands-on with team members in a practical management capacity.
  • Strong commercial insight and sound business judgment.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
