Role Description

The SEC Approved WPR C2 position is responsible for managing and coordinating all work permit activities for projects associated with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The primary objective is to ensure strict adherence to SEC standards and safety regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position requires daily engagement with project managers, site engineers, safety officers, and client representatives. Key duties involve the preparation, thorough review, and validation of work permit requests, confirming that all necessary technical documentation and safety prerequisites are met before commencing any work. Furthermore, the role entails monitoring the status of permits, updating relevant records, and ensuring the timely renewal or closure of permits. The SEC Approved WPR C2 will also provide support for site inspections, participate in toolbox talks as needed, and assist in resolving issues related to work permits to prevent project delays and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) work permit procedures, including specific classifications like C2, and associated regulations.
• Previous experience in construction, electrical, or MEP project settings, ideally on utility or power infrastructure projects.
• A solid understanding of safety protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and hazard control measures pertinent to work permits and site operations.
• Capability to meticulously review technical documentation, blueprints, and method statements to confirm readiness for work permit issuance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration with engineers, supervisors, safety personnel, and client representatives.
• Proficiency in maintaining precise records, logs, and reports pertaining to permits and compliance documentation.
• Mandatory SEC-approved WPR C2 certification or an equivalent recognized approval is required.
