Role Overview
A Dublin-based client is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master and Agile Coach for a daily-rate contract assignment. The engagement sits within a recognised organisation delivering a major programme of work over the next 18 to 24 months.
The right candidate will bring the confidence to influence Agile practices effectively, with hands-on experience coaching and scaling Agile across several teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Demonstrate a strong history of helping teams grow, stay engaged, and perform well in an Agile setting.
- Monitor team metrics and Agile indicators to identify improvements and strengthen delivery outcomes.
- Coach teams toward self-organisation, ongoing learning, and stronger collaboration across functions.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to improve backlog quality, planning, and clarity of work items in a complex environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within teams and across the wider organisation.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on Agile methods, principles, and best practices.
- Support broader organisational adoption and understanding of Agile ways of working.
- Adapt smoothly to evolving priorities and changing requirements while keeping your own work organised and on track.
- Develop effective working relationships within teams, across teams, and with other business functions and stakeholders.
- Bring a solid understanding of system architecture, software development practices, and related tools.
- Oversee delivery and reporting activities, including budgets, time tracking, and alignment with Finance, PMO, and funding expectations.
- Follow progress across epics, features, and user stories using Agile measures such as burndown charts and backlog analysis.
- Prepare reliable spend forecasts and release plans using velocity, capacity, and story point estimates.
Application Process
Applicants should send an updated CV. Candidates whose background matches the role requirements will be contacted for a detailed discussion.
