Company Overview
Shinka is an AdTech platform focused on programmatic monetisation for CTV and DOOH. It connects advertisers with publishers and handles billions of ad requests each day, using technology and partnerships to deliver measurable outcomes.
Role Summary
This is Shinka’s first dedicated Sales Development Representative position and a key early commercial hire. The current pipeline is driven by the founders and partners, and this role is meant to intentionally grow the top of the funnel by identifying the right accounts, starting conversations, and qualifying prospects for the people who manage and expand the business.
The process is straightforward: you will source and qualify opportunities, then pass them to Customer Success, where account owners handle the pitch, RFI, testing, and launch with support from a Technical Solutions Engineer. You are not expected to run evaluations or close deals; instead, you will focus on creating qualified opportunities and moving them quickly into the right hands.
Key Responsibilities
- Build pipeline by researching and prioritising target accounts in CTV and DOOH, then running outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and events with messaging tailored to the prospect’s business.
- Qualify prospects and hand them over with full context, ensuring meetings are held, fit the ideal customer profile, and are accepted by the account owner.
- Support activations by focusing on qualified pipeline that converts into live usage, rather than collecting meetings that do not progress; also revisit dormant opportunities when there is a genuine reason to re-engage them.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success and the Technical Solutions Engineer, while maintaining accurate CRM records so targets and commercial planning are based on reliable data.
Candidate Profile
Shinka is open to candidates from different backgrounds, with the main emphasis on attitude and potential. The company is interested in either an early-career SDR or first-time sales professional who is eager, coachable, and resilient, or someone with one to three years of outbound experience who can ramp quickly and follow the same compensation and progression path.
Strong candidates will show real curiosity about a prospect’s business, write clearly and concisely, stay consistent and disciplined with outbound activity, and be transparent about qualification so that only genuine opportunities are passed forward.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or media/publishing is helpful but not essential.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales engagement tools is an advantage.
- Prior exposure to technical or enterprise buyers is beneficial.
Compensation and Work Setup
- Base salary of €38,000.
- On-target earnings of €47,800.
- The role is based in Dublin.
- Employees are expected in the office three days per week and may work from home two days per week.
Application Instructions
Applicants should send a brief email to the hiring team explaining a situation where they had to win over someone who was initially uninterested, what actions they took, what the result was, and why this opportunity appeals to them and where they hope it will lead. The email subject should be “SDR – [your name]”. A cover letter or formal CV is not required at this stage.
Candidates who do not match the profile exactly are still encouraged to apply if the role feels like the right next step. The company prefers to assess fit directly rather than miss a strong applicant.
Location and Eligibility
This opportunity is for people who are currently based in Ireland or have the legal right to work there, and who are excited to work from Dublin as part of a growing local team.
