About the Role
The Safety Officer will take charge of site-level health and safety execution, making sure policies are followed and that employees as well as subcontractors work in a secure environment.
Work Location
The assignment location will vary according to project needs and may be anywhere within Saudi Arabia.
Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Put health and safety rules into practice and ensure they are followed on site.
- Carry out routine inspections to verify compliance with safety standards.
- Spot possible hazards and propose practical corrective measures.
- Make sure personal protective equipment is used correctly and consistently.
- Look into accidents, incidents, and near-miss events, and document findings in detailed reports.
- Deliver safety training and awareness sessions for staff and workers.
- Oversee subcontractor operations to confirm they meet safety expectations.
- Check tools, machinery, and equipment for safety compliance.
- Work with project management and the appropriate authorities on safety-related matters.
- Keep emergency response procedures active and ensure readiness for drills, evacuations, and similar situations.
Qualifications
- A background in occupational health and safety or a closely related discipline is needed.
- A diploma or bachelor’s qualification in health and safety management is required.
- Prior experience in a comparable role in the construction sector is expected.
- HSE certification such as IOSH, OSHA, or NEBOSH is required.

Preferred Background
