Role overview
IMR Press is hiring a full-time Regional Journal Development Editor in Singapore. This role focuses on growing the visibility and academic influence of the company’s journals across the local scholarly community.
Key responsibilities
- Increase awareness of the company’s journals among local academics to strengthen visibility and scholarly impact.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with universities, hospitals, research bodies, academic associations, and event organizers.
- Act as the company representative at academic conferences, institutional meetings, webinars, exchange activities, and networking forums.
- Gather local market intelligence and track research developments in relevant subject areas.
- Prepare regular progress updates covering academic relationship building, possible collaboration leads, conference opportunities, market insights, and suggestions for journal growth.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in molecular biology, biomedicine, life sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Good understanding of the local academic landscape, especially within hospitals, universities, or research organizations.
- Strong command of both English and Chinese, in speaking and writing.
- Ability to identify promising academic contacts and follow up promptly and professionally.
