Stellenbeschreibung

About the role

Genesis is looking for two Property Acquisition Managers to help secure and manage the land and property interests that underpin its generation assets and future energy projects across Aotearoa New Zealand. This position sits at the point where property strategy, asset development, and project delivery meet, and it has direct influence on long-term energy infrastructure outcomes.

You will report to the National Property Manager and take ownership of a varied portfolio of property work, including acquisitions and disposals, lease negotiations, business case input, portfolio planning, and project support. The role involves working with project teams, business leaders, landowners, consultants, legal advisers, iwi, and other stakeholders to progress property rights and maintain productive relationships.

This is a permanent, full-time position. It can be based in Auckland, which is preferred, or in Hamilton.

Key responsibilities

You will contribute to the delivery of property-related outcomes that support energy projects and operational needs. Your work will include negotiating agreements, coordinating property transactions, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping ensure that property arrangements align with business goals and project timelines.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced property professional with sound commercial judgement and the confidence to build strong, trusted relationships. You should be comfortable working through complexity, negotiating practical outcomes, and keeping the broader business objective in view.

  • A qualification in Property, Law, Finance, Management, or equivalent practical experience
  • Previous experience in property acquisition, property management, property consultancy, or another commercial property setting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Hands-on experience with property option agreements, agreement conditions, lease obligations, and property acquisition or disposal processes
  • Experience with property acquisitions or land access arrangements for energy projects will be an advantage

  • Flexible working and leave options to help balance work and personal commitments
  • An annual wellbeing allowance, access to the Best Doctors online service for you and your family, and other wellbeing support
  • Learning and career development opportunities within a supportive culture
