Production Manager

Role Overview

This position is for a Production Manager based in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with Reliance Industries Limited. The role focuses on improving plant performance, strengthening safety outcomes, and coordinating technical and operational initiatives across functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate improvement trials aimed at increasing throughput, switching raw materials, improving yield, reducing energy consumption, and enabling new products and packaging, while working closely with maintenance, CTS, product development, and marketing teams.
• Create and roll out EEDs for the plant as well as upstream and downstream units in collaboration with CTS, maintenance, and other plants.
• Monitor leading and lagging indicators related to plant safety and drive corrective actions to close identified gaps.
• Address recurring process deviations and process failures through root cause analysis, and ensure maintenance-related failures are also resolved using RCA methods.
• Apply working knowledge of chiller systems, cooling towers, thermal heaters, demineralized water generation, de-ionized water generation packages, multistage compression, and distillation operations.
• Handle distillation columns with re-boilers, vaporizers, multistage gas compression, batch preparation systems, product storage and handling, loading and unloading activities, and the management of hazardous and toxic chemicals, including cooling tower operations.

Experience and Qualification

The preferred background is a B.E. degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma in Engineering with 13 years of relevant experience.
