About the Role
Plaid is focused on improving how people manage and interact with money by creating the infrastructure that developers and companies use to build financial products. The company supports a large network of financial institutions across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, and works with a wide range of businesses in fintech and beyond.
As a Product Manager, you will own a product area end to end and help shape products that allow millions of people to connect, move, and manage their money. You will work closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market partners to turn customer needs into practical, high-quality solutions.
This opportunity is best suited for someone early in their product management career who enjoys learning quickly, working collaboratively, and building useful products that can improve financial outcomes for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a product area by defining the problem, documenting requirements, and coordinating execution with cross-functional teams.
- Set and evolve the product roadmap using data, customer feedback, and market signals.
- Partner with engineering and design to deliver polished, easy-to-use experiences.
- Measure product performance through metrics and user insights, then use those findings to improve results.
- Communicate decisions clearly and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the process.
- Work with a founder-style mindset by simplifying problems, moving quickly, and staying open to feedback.
- Continue learning and contribute to raising the quality of Plaid’s products and team culture.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a product-related position such as Product Manager, startup operator, founder, or product analyst.
- A demonstrated history of shipping or launching products from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience working closely with engineering and design teams to deliver value quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple, effective way.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, uncertain, and evolving environments.
- Practical familiarity with using AI in day-to-day product work, including prototyping, research, or analysis.
- Prior exposure to early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
- Fintech experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation may also include equity and/or commission depending on the position offered. Plaid offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is determined by role scope, responsibilities, experience, skill set, and location, and may change over time in line with applicable compensation and benefit plans.
Compensation range: $176.4K to $226.8K.
