Procurement Specialist

Role overview

This role focuses on sourcing and purchasing indirect materials for a manufacturing facility, with an emphasis on speed, cost efficiency, and sound commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full procurement cycle for indirect spend categories such as office supplies, equipment, MRO, facility services, subsidiary materials, and similar items.
• Evaluate supplier terms, discuss contract language, and negotiate conditions that protect the company’s interests.
• Analyze spending patterns to uncover opportunities to reduce costs.
• Coordinate delivery timelines and manage shipment arrangements in line with the applicable incoterms.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and offer solutions that support business goals and strategy.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and other performance measures, then report results as needed.
• Support additional procurement-related tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or another relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, ideally involving indirect purchasing.
• Strong capability in negotiation and contract administration.
• Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and delivering savings.
• Comfort using procurement systems and tools such as SAP.
