Role overview
This position is for an experienced procurement professional to support a specialist contractor working on major data centre construction projects in Ireland. The focus is on electrical procurement, including sourcing materials, coordinating suppliers, and helping keep mission-critical work on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Handle procurement activities for electrical packages and related materials.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with suppliers.
- Lead pricing discussions and negotiate commercial terms.
- Collaborate closely with project delivery and commercial teams.
- Make sure materials arrive in line with programme deadlines.
- Spot ways to strengthen procurement efficiency and lower overall costs.
Candidate profile
- Background in procurement within electrical contracting.
- Prior involvement in data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects.
- Good understanding of electrical products and supply networks.
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation ability.
- Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
