Role Overview

Metropolis is hiring a People Operations Coordinator to support core HR operations. This position centers on employee data administration, onboarding support, handling HR-related questions, and assisting with reporting and internal coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle questions coming from employees and managers through several HR and payroll inboxes, providing timely support and routing issues as needed.
  • Update and maintain employee records in HRIS platforms such as AS400 and Dayforce, covering transfers, promotions, pay adjustments, and terminations.
  • Support the new-hire workflow from ICIMS into AS400 so onboarding information is entered correctly and on schedule.
  • Check employee change paperwork to confirm it is complete and properly approved.
  • Receive incoming mail and process payroll-related items such as garnishments and request forms for upload into ADP.
  • Take part in cross-training across different People Operations areas to build a wider understanding of the function.
  • Help prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports.
  • Own assigned special projects and contribute to broader People Operations initiatives.
  • Support the planning and setup of New Metropolite Orientation, including coordination of IT setup for onboarding.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly base pay range for this role is $26.00 to $32.00 USD. Final compensation depends on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, education, certifications, licenses, and work location. The broader compensation package may include healthcare coverage, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, stock options, bonus opportunities, and other benefits.
