About the role

FISHBOWL is looking for a Mixer to join the team in Gold Coast. In this role, you’ll represent the brand’s values while creating a welcoming guest experience, guiding customers through the menu, and preparing fresh salads from scratch.

What you’ll bring

We’re after someone with a background in food service, restaurants, or customer-facing roles, although this is helpful rather than mandatory. You should communicate clearly, work well with others, bring a positive can-do approach, and stay calm and effective in a busy setting. The ideal candidate learns quickly, adapts easily, and takes responsibility for maintaining high standards.

Key duties

You’ll work alongside other Mixers, Restaurant Supervisors, and the Restaurant Manager to deliver great service and consistently good bowls. The role involves making salads from scratch, serving customers with care, handling transactions through the POS system, keeping up with menu changes, and maintaining strong food safety, sanitation, and product quality standards. You’ll also help support a strong team culture.

About FISHBOWL

FISHBOWL is an Australian food brand founded in 2016 in Bondi and now operating across the east coast, with more than 50 locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast. The company launched its international growth in 2024 with a restaurant opening in New York City under the THISBOWL name. Its mission is to change the culture of fast food by focusing on fresh, made-to-order salads with an Asian influence.

Hiring process

The selection process includes a short pre-screen call with the recruitment team, followed by an in-store trial with an operations leader. During the trial, the team will assess attention to detail, customer service, a strong attitude, and good hygiene practices. If successful, the candidate will receive an offer and begin onboarding.
