Role Overview
Yahoo is seeking a highly culture-aware, deeply online creative professional to own influencer partnerships and social content development in the Manager of Influencer & Social Creative role. This position sits where brand, culture, and internet behavior meet, and it helps define how Yahoo appears across social channels by turning live cultural moments into content people want to interact with.
The role calls for a social-first mindset, strong meme fluency, precise writing, and the ability to execute quickly while maintaining creative quality. It requires someone who naturally thinks like a creator collaborator, spots trends early, and helps shape ideas that audiences want to join rather than simply consume.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee influencer partnerships end to end, including creator selection, briefing, execution, and delivery of campaigns.
- Develop and refine creator briefs and make sure concepts are brought to life with a consistently high creative standard.
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships with influencers throughout the creative process.
- Work with Creative Lab colleagues and agency partners to produce Yahoo social content across formats such as short-form video, memes, written copy, reactive content, and campaign assets.
- Spot emerging trends, formats, and cultural moments, then convert them into practical ideas with speed and sound creative judgment.
- Blend lo-fi, social-native content with larger strategic storytelling that makes an impact.
- Collaborate across Communications, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Legal, and agency teams to launch campaigns.
- Contribute as a supportive creative partner who is comfortable exchanging feedback thoughtfully and respectfully.
- Appear on camera when needed.
- Use AI tools to speed up ideation, improve content development, and streamline creative workflows while preserving originality and quality.
- Follow Yahoo policies and exercise good judgment while working safely, inclusively, and reliably with others.
- Help protect business operations and brand integrity.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and influencer management.
- Demonstrated success in creating and running creator-led campaigns with cultural relevance.
- Experience writing creative briefs and working directly with creators to produce strong content.
- Excellent writing and editorial ability with a well-developed sense of voice and tone.
- Strong understanding of internet culture, platform behavior, creator ecosystems, and changing social habits.
- Creative instincts paired with strategic thinking.
- Ability to work quickly while keeping work clear and high quality.
- Experience collaborating across functions and helping lead creative partnerships.
- A portfolio showing original thinking, strong execution, and measurable business results.
- A clear point of view on what makes content culturally relevant and what feels off-brand or forced.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working for or alongside a major consumer technology or media brand.
- On-camera or creator experience, along with a practical understanding of what drives resonance.
- Exposure to social listening, analytics, and performance measurement platforms.
Work Requirements
This role may involve occasional travel and weekend work.
Work Model
Yahoo offers flexible hybrid work options. Most roles do not require regular office attendance, though you may occasionally be asked to join in-person events or team sessions. Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $82,125 to $171,250 per year, depending on location, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include discretionary annual bonus opportunities or commissions. Benefits include healthcare, a 401(k), backup childcare, education stipends, and additional offerings.
