Maintenance Custodian Associate

Role overview

As a Maintenance Custodian Associate at Sam’s Club, you help create the first and last impression members receive by keeping the facility clean, safe, and well maintained. The role is active and hands-on, with most of the shift spent moving around and working in a physically demanding setting while staying positive and member-focused.

Key duties

• Support a safe workplace by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Carry out safety checks, proper forklift spotting practices, hazardous material handling and disposal, steel standard requirements, and escalation of unsafe conditions to management.
• Clean assigned areas throughout the facility, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash containers, using approved chemicals, tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment by responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash according to environmental sustainability practices.
• Keep approved cleaning chemicals and supplies stocked, correctly stored, rotated, and replenished when inventory runs low.

Compensation and benefits

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00 to $24.00. Additional premium pay may be available at $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and more than one premium may apply if criteria are met.
