Machine Learning Researcher

Role summary

This position is for a remote machine learning researcher supporting an external client’s active research work. The assignment is contract-based and can be performed from anywhere. Compensation is paid at an hourly rate of $20 to $90.

What you will do

• Build and refine machine learning models aimed at solving defined research problems.
• Run experiments, review the outcomes, and improve models based on what the data shows.
• Work with engineering and research teams to move successful models into production environments.
• Prepare clear documentation covering methods used, results observed, and key takeaways for both internal and external audiences.
• Keep up with new developments in machine learning research and apply relevant approaches where useful.

What you need

• Strong hands-on programming ability in Python.
• Practical experience with ML libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of deep learning model design and optimization methods.
• Solid understanding of statistics and mathematical modeling.
• Experience with data cleaning, feature engineering, and performance evaluation metrics.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setup with limited oversight.
