About THINKINK
THINKINK is a specialist B2B communications agency focused on technology-led businesses across aviation, loyalty, payments, retail, sustainability, and travel. The agency supports clients in improving visibility, sharpening market positioning, and driving commercial growth through integrated communications, media relations, research, and content programs. Its work is centered on solving business challenges with strategic thinking, strong storytelling, and thoughtful design.
About the Design Function
At THINKINK, design is a core part of how complex ideas are turned into clear, memorable, and actionable communications. Design contributes from the earliest stage of a project, helping shape strategy rather than only polishing final outputs. The team expects designers to contribute ideas, question assumptions, and help guide the work alongside colleagues from different disciplines.
Role Summary
THINKINK is hiring a Lead Creative Designer who blends strategic judgment with strong hands-on design capability. This senior, highly practical role will lead creative work from concept through final delivery across several B2B client accounts. You will act as both the strategic creative voice in client conversations and the designer who produces the finished work, without relying on another senior designer to interpret ideas or translate them for different formats.
You will collaborate directly with clients, writers, strategists, developers, and PR professionals while leading creative discussions, presenting concepts, and creating polished design across websites, social media, reports, presentations, campaigns, and brand systems. The role suits someone who is equally comfortable discussing user journeys with a developer, refining structure with a content strategist, presenting work to a client, and building the final design in Figma under deadline.
Key Responsibilities
Creative strategy and direction
- Own the visual identity and creative direction for THINKINK clients as well as the agency brand itself.
- Convert client objectives, communication needs, and campaign goals into clear creative concepts and design direction.
- Set the visual tone for accounts and maintain consistency through every stage of design and production.
- Present, explain, and stand behind creative strategy and concept work directly with clients.
Design production and delivery
- Create high-quality design work across digital campaigns, social content, websites, email, presentations, and brand systems.
- Develop reports, eBooks, white papers, and similar B2B marketing materials.
- Design assets for events, including exhibition graphics and related materials.
- Build original and attention-grabbing creative concepts for B2B social and digital marketing.
- Create and refine brand guides covering logo usage, typography, colour, and overall style.
- Support website redesign work with solutions that are designed for the web from the start.
- Produce polished presentations that combine strong messaging with clear visual structure.
- Retouch and edit images, documents, and other assets for digital use and, when needed, print.
Digital-first collaboration
- Design for web, social, email, and digital campaigns with responsive and platform-specific constraints in mind.
- Work directly with developers and digital specialists so ideas do not need to be reinterpreted across teams.
- Use AI-supported tools to accelerate concept development, iteration, and production, and help define how the team adopts them.
- Stay up to date with trends in digital design, motion, and typography and apply them to client work.
Client and team partnership
- Serve as the senior creative lead in client meetings and ongoing relationships.
- Work with account managers and leadership to define scope and manage expectations around creative work.
- Balance client feedback and internal input to deliver strong creative outcomes.
- Collaborate across PR, content, digital, social, and research teams to keep creative aligned with wider client programs.
- Take over projects mid-way when required and preserve brand consistency through to delivery.
- Help improve creative quality and working processes as the agency continues to grow.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate understands that effective design starts with the right questions, not with software. You are likely to think first about audience, messaging, user experience, and commercial goals before moving into colour, type, or layout. You are curious, collaborative, commercially aware, and confident knowing when to challenge a brief, defend a recommendation, or adapt to feedback.
You should also be comfortable in a fast-moving agency environment where priorities can change quickly and where you may shift between several brands and industries within the same week or even the same day.
Experience and Technical Background
- At least 8 years of design experience, with progression to lead, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director level, ideally including agency client-service work in PR, advertising, or marketing.
- Demonstrated ownership of creative strategy and experience presenting directly to clients.
- A portfolio that shows digital-first B2B work created natively for web, social, email, and digital campaigns.
- Experience running creative workstreams independently, including both direction and execution.
- Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Comfort and fluency with generative AI tools for image, video, and copy, plus the ability to build AI-assisted workflows that speed up concepting and production without reducing quality.
- Advanced presentation design capability in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence representing the creative function in front of clients.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through when working to tight deadlines.
- Comfort working remotely as part of a small, distributed team.
Ideal Additional Experience
- B2B technology experience, particularly in aviation, travel, fintech/payments, loyalty, retail, or sustainability.
- Exposure to motion design, animation, or video editing.
- Experience with brand identity and design-system development.
- Print production knowledge.
- Working understanding of HTML and CSS.
- A degree in Graphic Design or a related subject.
