Quick Sort India Private Limited is hiring Language Editors at Levels 1, 2 and 3 for its copyediting function. The role is suited to professionals who can refine journal and book content to meet publisher and house style expectations.

Experience and location

This position calls for 2 to 10 years of experience. Candidates should be based in Chennai or comfortable working remotely.

What the role involves

• Editing and polishing manuscripts for journals and books in line with the publisher’s language and style rules.
• Reworking author text to improve clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
• Applying CE house style and related editorial guidelines with accuracy.
• Ensuring consistency and quality across the full manuscript.
• Standardizing content to match journal, book, or house formatting requirements.
• Coordinating with the editorial production workflow and understanding how the process moves from draft to final output.
• Delivering assigned work within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with STM journals or books and has strong exposure to copyediting, style editing, and manuscript refinement. A solid grasp of English language usage, grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards is essential.
