Role overview
Programmed Facility Management is hiring seasoned Kitchen Utilities for its Carlindi site in Western Australia, working in support of client PLS. This is a FIFO role on a 2:1 roster from Perth, with multiple positions open in an established and expanding operation where safety, teamwork and quality service are key priorities.
The position suits someone who wants consistent FIFO employment, a collaborative workplace and opportunities to build a long-term career. In this role, you will help keep food service operations running smoothly and contribute to a clean, safe and welcoming village environment for residents on site.

Role purpose
As a Kitchen Utility, you will support the kitchen team by keeping work areas clean, hygienic and well presented, helping ensure the village operates to a high standard every day. The work is hands-on, physically active and fast-paced, and you will be working closely with chefs and catering staff to keep kitchens, dining spaces and food preparation areas safe and operational.
Your work will directly contribute to the experience of the many residents living on site while away from home.
Key responsibilities
- Keep cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards consistently high
- Wash, sanitise and put away kitchen equipment, utensils and cookware
- Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation and service support
- Maintain tidy and well-organised kitchen, dining and service areas
- Help with stock rotation, storage and product labelling
- Manage waste and cleaning chemicals safely and in line with procedures
- Support compliance with HACCP and food safety rules
- Spot and report equipment issues or maintenance needs
- Work with the broader catering team to keep daily operations running efficiently
About you
You should be an experienced FIFO Kitchen Utility who understands how important reliability, teamwork and high standards are in a busy village setting. This role will suit someone who takes pride in doing practical work well, enjoys being part of a close-knit crew and is comfortable with a physically demanding environment.
Required experience and qualities
- Prior FIFO Kitchen Utility experience is essential
- Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to perform well in a high-volume catering environment
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining standards
- Positive approach and readiness to assist the wider team
- Ability to follow procedures and work safely at all times
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Mandatory requirements
- Unrestricted Australian work rights
- Current C Class driver's licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
- Current National Police Clearance issued within the last three months
- Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one
